Vitamin A

Витамин А

Tissue and Cell Renewal

It stimulates the production and activity of white blood cells, participates in bone remodelling, helps to maintain health of endothelial cells (lining the inner surfaces of the body), and regulates cell growth and division for reproduction.

Sight

Vitamin A is critical for sight as it is an important component of rhodopsin, a protein that absorbs light in retina receptors, and because it supports normal differentiation and functioning of conjunctival membranes and cornea.

Well-coordinated functioning of internals

Vitamin A also supports the growth and differentiation of cells, playing an important role in normal formation and maintenance of heart, lungs, kidneys and other organs.

Men require 900 mcg of vitamin A per day, women 700 mcg, pregnant women 770 mcg, and lactating women 1300 mcg.
